It would not be an exaggeration to say that much of Scripture is a wedding plan!
Messiah is indeed coming for His Bride, but do we know who she is? Do we know anything about His wedding plans? Most of us know to plan a wedding requires both intention and attention to every detail. One would do well to sit down and scribble down those details, such as: the wedding announcement, the invitation list, the coordination and sequencing of various events before, during and after the wedding, delegated tasks and responsibilities, music, food preparations, apparel, gifts, the rehearsal -- all within a budget, the considered cost willing to be paid.

Preterism: the belief that end-time events prescribed in the Book of Daniel and Revelation have already been fulfilled in the first century.

Just as an interesting side note, the Midrash illustrates a further character study of Orpah and Ruth. Orpah went back to her Gentile-ness and gods and became the great grandmother of the giant Goliath.
