God's Pure & Humble Desire

When asked to explain or define Mystery Babylon, we usually ruffle our feathers to show a rightful indignation, but we are limited in our understanding to explain it. Mystery Babylon is the proper name given by the Bible to the end-time embodiment of Satan’s final religious and governmental system. It is the accrued momentum of the mystery of lawlessness through earth’s history finding full expression in the end-times. We need to understand Satan’s why (motive and intent) and how (strategies and tactics). 

Let's start with the correct standard of measurement as well as the plumb-line of constructing discerning thought forward by reviewing God’s true why and how! 

Have you ever considered why God would create someone with free will and not demand worship as a duty but as a willing and yearning desire? Obviously our choices reveal the motives and intents of our desires. Likewise, God’s choices reveal the motives and intents of His desires. The BIG revelation is not that we have a choice as created beings (which that in and of itself is a big deal) but that God chose to Self-impose suffering on Himself to reveal His complete desire for us so that we would be able to have a mutual loving exchange with Him. In extreme artistic license, the forethoughts of our Beloved might have been something like this…

“I will create a tinnie, winnie, ittie, bittie contained segment called time within My eternity. And I will create within time an eternal people for My dwelling companionship and give them free will and allow them, by their choice, to obey or disobey Me – I will not control their choices. 

I will introduce Myself to them. I will also allow an alternative to Me and inevitably, they will explore the alternative. Then in that experience of the darkness of conscience, outside the Light of My Living Presence – the darkness of death – those who desire to return and be with Me, though they cannot return on their own, I will make a Way for them. 

Then they will know that I AM willing, even desiring, to give all of Me, God Almighty, for them. Throughout eternity, though I AM their Creator, they can trust that I chose to give Myself as payment for their full atonement. I will invite them to enter a covenant with Me, to wed Me! They will know the ecstasy and delight that I choose to be in a mutual relationship with them – then I will enjoy their spontaneous and loving worship from hearts desiring to love Me as a response for My PROVEN and GREAT love for them!”

God Almighty, our Creator, submitted Himself to earn our trust and love by revealing His choice to die for us SO THAT in the ages to come...

He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Eph 2:7

God is WORTHY of our worship in every way. Even though by virtue of Who He Is, He is entitled by right to all worship, but dictated and imposed worship is NOT what God desires from us at all. If we do not worship Him freely, spontaneously and willingly, don’t bother, He is not impressed, nor interested. He desires, with all His heart, that we would desire Him, not as an imposed duty, but a free-will choice – and He went to extreme measures to give us that choice! This very point will be THE CONTRAST to all of Satan’s tactics.

So who is the alternative choice that God created? The shallow answer, and easiest to blame, is Satan – “the devil made me do it.” But he merely facilitates temptation by enticement or deceit, if possible, to lead us away from God. The deeper truth, and much harder to reconcile ourselves to, is that we are the alternative to God! Woman was tempted to experience her own desires separate from being in the echad of God and His already present provisions and companionship – she was tempted with that intoxicating idolatry of self. Satan merely tempted her, but it was her own desire that caused her downfall. Satan tempted her with an counterfeit image of herself as her own god-like source! You might think that idea has long gone, but it is the prevailing theme in our universalistic “we are god” culture today!

We have a very real, deliberate and calculating enemy and his force in the world is not to be minimized! From the get go, in this section of recon in counter intelligence to uncover the covert operations of the adversary, Satan, we and not him, are responsible for the choices we make on a daily basis!

Friend, our worship is the most valuable and powerful commodity sought after in the spiritual dimension – make no mistake, the battle is over Who/who we worship and our warfare in this world is to choose to seek the One True God and His truths by our own free-will! But how?
