However, unlike the Bride of Christ, Semiramis was not a chaste woman. She became pregnant by another man and when Nimrod found out he was going to excommunicate her. As the drama goes, Semiramis murdered Nimrod, and then told the public that Nimrod mysteriously died and went into the heavens. She then had intercourse with his glorified deity-self and was now pregnant with his baby. Once delivered, she named her son Tammuz – and voila, the very first copy-cat incarnation, the son of perdition! He would embody, the first and bona fide antichrist – backed by religious and governmental orders! The first of many false christs from the seed of the serpent to come!

Semiramis claimed that Tammuz was the reincarnation of the god Nimrod, copycat of the Incarnation of God in Christ Jesus, she gave herself the title of Queen Mother, Queen of Heaven or Mother of God, copycat of the true Church (Gal 4:26 …the Jerusalem above, as noted to be “mother of us all!” She required full allegiance to her copycat incarnate deity, Tammuz, just as full allegiance is due the One and only True Incarnate God, Jesus our Messiah. Get the picture? Semiramis was not that clever to come up with an entire replacement plan to God’s blueprint, she probably didn’t even know the detailed deceit she was channeling – but Satan did! She was simply the physical agent of Satan’s evil spirit. Satan wants worship, any and all worship, and he is seeking whom he may devour for more! And he can have it if he can only replace the truth with a lie!

From the gods Marduk and Astarte came many, many other gods – you could think of Marduk and Astarte as the mom and dad of all unholy, multiple gods who are deified by man’s separation from and against the One True God. This is the birth of Satan’s paganism, in fact, all polytheistic religions are source back to Babylon.

Nimrod and his rebellious cohorts sowed confusion to build an empire of confusion. So God simply allowed them to reap what they sowed and confused their language. They couldn’t understand each other, so the rebel party was over – at least for now. Why did God simply thwart their unity rather than destroy them? Babylon plays a role in God’s Script. Just as God raised up Pharaoh in Egypt to show His power and to reveal the glory of His Name (Rom 9:17), so will God raise up end-time Mystery Babylon as a catalyst to reveal His mighty power and glory! We will see God thwart Satan’s plans several times throughout history until God’s appointed time and plan is to not only thwart it but destroy it – all along while offering His free redemption to people!

Satan basically repackaged his religion under variant names throughout every empire and vulnerable community he could penetrate. Marduk evolved into the variant forms of the male god Baal, which means lord or master, and was depicted as the sun or a bull. Astarte has been repackaged through the world’s empires by and large as a goddess of wisdom, fertility and sensual love as noted in the chart below. She is most personified as the lustful and nautical demon, Lilith, who presents herself as an illustrious wise and female god – this is an important clue to discerning present day trends towards the feminization of God.
