Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
Rev 21:5
TODAY is the Feast of Ingathering!
Yesterday, a lot happened in the world -- the release of the remaining Israeli hostages, praise The Lord, and an impromptu world summit acknowledging and beginning the discussion of world peace!
It was also the last of the seven day Feast of Tabernacles celebration of God's enduring faithfulness and blessing of what He did and will do in the future! It is within this celebratory gratitude that we transition into the Feast of Ingathering -- the eighth day, which is the New Day!
The eighth day (Shemini Atzeret) is a Solemn Assembly, and it prophetically points to the absolute completed and finished works of Messiah, not just His magnificent atonement, but the fulfillment of all end-time prophecies! At that momentous time, there will be the fulfilled Ingathering of ALL God's people, a Solemn Assembly! In that unobstructed view of Him and the realization of His faithfulness to fulfill His Word, we will have one focus -- to worship Him and be wholly devoted with abandoned adoration!
This time marks the conclusion of a completed cycle and the beginning of The New Day! Jews commemorate and celebrate this day as Simchat Torah, the completion of one annual cycle of the Torah portion and the beginning of the new. It is a joyful time of dancing and singing with the Word of God!
So let's give it a go -- why not twirl about in our homes singing and dancing with our Bibles, praising God for what He has done and will do in this new day -- directing our joyful and momentous celebration into a single climaxing focus -- being wholly devoted to The Lord!
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
