The Principle of Interpretation:
Reduce data (information, concepts, visuals and actions) to it’s simplest meaning as a structural outline to interpret the greater purpose – then add details.
God speaks clearly. Throughout the Scripture, He says the same thing over and over again. He provides the big picture, categories and details. The big picture then serves as an outline, for either categories (and a subset of details about that categories) or just details directly referring to the outline point. For an example, say we had an outline of A, B, C, and D, with subsets of categories and details,
Once you are able to understand the primary big picture outline, then you are able to both recognize and place categories and/or details in their right order. As you learn Biblical timing elements as well as imagery, then the Scriptures become symphonic as though understanding prophetic music! Once you know this basic outline, then you will be able to fast track in understanding end time prophecy. The effect of understanding the Word of God is indescribably empowering and equipping!
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
If you know the wire-frame outline of end time events, then you will be able both recognize and place categories and details while reading end time prophecy.
Praise the Lord, we don't have to come up with a speculative outline, it is provided and confirmed already within Scripture. The primary and predetermined wire-frame outline is given in the Book of Daniel and it is called the Daniel's 70 Weeks. All other end time prophecies can be organized with this wire-frame outline in mind.
In fact, Jesus encouraged His disciples to reference the Book of Daniel in interpreting the end times, He points them back to tell what will happen forward,
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Matt 24:14-16
We will do a deeper dive into the Book of Daniel, but for our purposes, here is the simple outline of The Lord gave Daniel,
Verse 24
Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.
RETURING FROM FIRST EXILE, THE REBUILDING THE TEMPLE
AND LEADING UPTO MESSIAH’S FIRST COMING
Verse 25
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times.
MESSIAH’S DEATH – SECOND EXILE – TIME OF THE GENTILES
Verse 26
And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined.
RETURNING FROM SECOND EXILE
MAKING COVENANT WITH ANTICHRIST FOR ONE WEEK JUST BEFORE MESSIAH'S SECOND COMING (THE CONSUMMATION)
Verse 27
Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate.
