Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
Rev 1:3
The Book of Revelation is God’s game plan, His play book and for those who want to run the field and score for Jesus but they don’t want to include His end-time plan, or even worse, disregard His counsel and say it is unnecessary information – well, what to say – let me say this as gently as I can, it is absolutely less than brilliant not to talk or teach about the end times during the end times!
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. Rev 1:1-3
The author of Revelation is the Apostle John. Did you know that the Book of Revelation was the first book he penned. His second literary contribution was the epistles of First, Second and Third John – which by the way, are all very black and white, dividing good and evil, and love and hate.
The Apostle John was someone who had an encounter with the beaming Christ Jesus! John was within Jesus’ inner-circle as a disciple of His earthly ministry -- he witnesses all Jesus' teachings and miracles. John was a witness of Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration, he was a witness of Jesus being crucified, He was a witness of the resurrected Jesus, he was a witness when Jesus ascended into heaven and he fell as a dead man when he witnessed the glorified Jesus in Heaven giving him these instructions for you and me.
The entire momentum of Scripture is prophetically summarized in the Book of Revelation! It is important to remember that it is not Satan that is doing the great shaking, but God. Yes, the Lord describes for us Satan’s retaliation to God and His people (both Jew and Gentile) in the persecution of the saints, but be assured, it is God who is in control – and that is the point of the Book of Revelation, these are all predetermined events of God’s plan!
Within that end time prophetic time zone, we will see the final redemption of the Jewish people. Jesus is returning to Jerusalem, to fulfill His promises to the Jewish people and take up His Throne in Jerusalem!
Please note, that God has attached His entire credibility and Name to the restoration of Israel during the end times – and He is not nervous whether or not it will happen! In fact, it is the mystery that Paul wrote about multiple times throughout his epistles, however in Roman's 11, Paul provides a "timing element" as well as John writing in Revelation 10, both reveal the conclusion of the mystery being fulfilled,
...but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets. Rom 10:7
For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; For this [is] My covenant with them, When I take away their sins." Rom 11:25-27
Jesus will come and fight for Israel, He will save His people Israel, and He will take up His Throne in Jerusalem to rule the nations of the world in the Land of Israel!
If that is what He said He is going to do in the coming Messianic Age, shouldn't we as His followers be proclaiming, cooperating and at the very least, looking for it? If we are truly concerned with the glory of His Name, then we like Him, will attach our credibility and names to this fulfillment as well!
Be faithful to whatever calling your have in The Lord, but don't loose site of the end-game plan. As we will see, the end-times centered around Israel is not a marginal topic, it is as the Scripture says, central!
