Hijacked by Replacement

There are many deceptions and practices in the counterfeit Emergent Church, seeking to replace and thereby hijack the true Church. In fact, even in the denominational churches, there has been a grosss departure from Biblical truths. Both are PRESENT in the Western Church today! Without an awareness of current trends or a strong Biblical foundation, it is hard to discern between the two. There is a gross deficit in the pragmatic teaching of Scriptures in the Western Church today. We have more Bible than any other time in history, but the Western Church is Bible poor! 

When we chose to replace pragmatic teaching and discipleship, to both adults and children, with a motivational orientated, seeker-friendly, milk-toast sermon series that attempts to make people feel better about their sin, rather than being delivered from sin, we very unintentionally mutated into a form of godliness that denies the power that is inherent in true godliness. We are now more orientated in a Christian concept rather than to Christ Himself revealed in the Word of God.

We need to equip the present Body of believers to be able to discern truth from the deceiving counterfeit. The faithful want to give a defense against the slithering concepts creeping in to our congregations because they intuitively know it is wrong but can’t tell you why. We have failed them in biblical structure. Let’s get busy in raising the standard of truth and provide information that will help all of us discern carefully between the two and, more importantly, discern what is the admixture of the two!
