God, by His spoken Word, brought the Light of Reality into existence -- He then moved in a divisionary process for the sake of multiplication, blessed it and called it good! We need to take note of this because it is His MO (mode of operation), His creative pattern, which He set in motion from the beginning until now and will be unto the end.
Day 1 God created the light, and saw that it was good and divided it from darkness.
Day 2 God created the firmament and divided the upper waters from the lower waters.
Day 3 God divided land from water and saw that it was good. He then created all vegetation and called it good. (The third day now takes on a double portion of good!)
Day 4 God created the lights in the firmament and divided day from night and called it good!
Once God has divided or separated into realms, He creates within those separated realms multiple entities, separate unto themselves, all plump full of seed for the purpose of multiplying as well as each divided realm is uniquely designed to sustain all life that is created within it. Such as, after dividing water and land, in the realm of land, He created all vegetation, after its own kind – meaning a plum is a plum and an apple is an apple – it is not a plupple!
After each session of this creative divisionary process, for the sake of multiplying, God crowns His creative order with a pleasurable term, what He calls good!
Day 5 God created within the realm of the waters, all the abundance of living creatures. Within the realm of the heavens, He created all species of birds. He saw that it was good and God blessed them for the purpose of being fruitful and multiplying!
Day 6 God created every living creature that would dwell on land after their own kind. On that same day, in kind, within the realm of Earth, God created Man in His Own Image, separated a part of Man (rib), and created from Man a Woman and blessed them for the purpose of being fruitful and multiplying! God gave them dominion (authority to rule a domain) over all the realm of the Earth.
Day 7 The ensemble of His completed works, He called Sabbath. The Sabbath was sanctified, meaning divided or separated, unto holiness -- here He introduces us to another one of His pleasurable terms which describes His very nature -- HOLY! The Sabbath becomes "the epoch" of the purpose of ALL HIS CREATION -- it is in short, the finished works of Christ!
Beloved, to mix the realms or their intended entities is to violate His ordained code of order, that which God called good and holy. One of my favorite lines from Fiddler on the Roof captures this principle perfectly, “A bird and fish may love each other, but where would they build their home together?”
We will see shortly how mixing became a strategy from the beginning to defile us and how God as a strategy is dividing us back to wholeness! From this principle of origin, we will see this pattern throughout Scripture, it is His ordained divisionary process,
Noah separated/divided from his untoward generation unto a redemptive structure to remultiply the Earth
Abraham separated/divided from his father’s house unto the promises of God to multiple his descendants (Isaac from Ishmael, Sarah from Hagar, Jacob from Esau)
Israel separated/divided from Egypt unto deliverance and salvation to multiple in the Promise Land
Christians separated/divided from the world unto deliverance and salvation and commissioned as witnesses to multiply
Wheat and tares will be separated/divided at the end of the age, the wheat unto eternal union in God’s eternal New Jerusalem and the tares unto eternal damnation
In the natural, we eat, and our bodies separate/divide the nutrients from waste – nutrients multiply and sustain good health, and waste is discarded
In kind, God uses this same principle in our hearts, His divisionary process to multiply His character within -- this is His process that makes us kosher!
And to be sure, this divisionary process is not for the sake of division in and of itself, but for multiplying that which is good and holy in God’s greater creation SO THAT we can enjoy His Sabbath Rest!
Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. Luke 12:51
This is God’s ordained MO (mode of operation) from the beginning, this is the Cornerstone what He builds upon, and it will be the Capstone of His completed works in the end! Inherent within the very nature of God’s Word, we clearly see His divisionary process,
For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Heb 4:12-14
