TODAY is Purim! The annual celebration of God delivering the Jewish people from the antisemitic Haman and his effort to globally eliminate the Jewish people.

Haman was a descendant of Amalek. When the Children of Israel left Egypt, Amalek attacked Israel -- Israel fought back and won! But more importantly, we should notice that it ticked God Almighty off and He vowed to be at war with Amalek in EVERY GENERATION! The Lord would repeatedly tell Israel to remember Amalek! 

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.” And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-LORD-Is-My-Banner; for he said, “Because The LORD has sworn: The LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.” Exodus 17:14-16 NKJV 

Why so intense? God was making a definitive and permanent statement! God was not committing Himself to fight a nomadic cranky desert tribe, no, He was committing to fight the aggression leveraged towards His chosen Elect, Israel! Why? Because within the very womb of Israel was ALL of God's promises to save ALL in Mankind who would choose to follow Him through Messiah! To resist and hate Israel is to resist and hate the God of Israel -- and His very good plans for the soul of Mankind!

Amalek represents a mindset of absolute hatred towards God and His people! It is an irrational and inhuman rage that is possessed for the sole purpose of destruction.

In the 12th chapter of the Book of Revelation the Scriptures provide a big picture scope of the who is behind the what. The Dragon (Serpent of Old) is fighting the Woman (Israel) throughout earth's history in efforts to kill her Male Child (Messiah). Once the Woman (Israel) delivers the Male Child (Messiah), He is caught up to heaven (the Resurrection). The Dragon then persecutes the Woman's (Israel) and her offspring: both ethnic Israel (those who keep the Commandments) and the Gentiles (those who follow the Male Child Messiah of Israel, Jesus Christ). Notice the Scriptures refer to believing Gentiles as the offspring of the Woman Israel. We are not separate, but a part, one with the Israel of God! As Jesus said that He would bring others into His one flock and Paul said that Gentiles are grafted into Israel - we are two constituents in One Body called the Israel of God, the One New Man! 

There most definitely is a cosmic war where the Dragon, that Serpent of old, has campaigned against God's Elect from the beginning and God has committed to war against it in every generation -- whatever manifest form the Dragon takes in the natural realm, whether the Amaleks of our world, the Nazis, or any antisemitic mindset. And really we should include all hateful rhetoric which serves as an open door.

Friends, Israel is not a marginal or archaic topic in Scripture -- but the absolute central epic center of God's focus throughout Scripture! One other point to remember, is that the Dragon's vehement rage to gain control and dominate Jerusalem is because it is the City and Throne of The Great King of Israel Who is coming soon! The Dragon is contesting a throne that is uncontestable in Scripture! 

Hopefully it's not lost on any of us that the War with Iran started during the Purim prophetic time zone and that there was a Blood Moon the night Purim began -- or that a planetarium alignment showed in the sky a couple of days before the war started! We are seeing a war that is confronting the hateful campaign to annihilate Israel, and not only the Jewish people, but all those professing to be of the Judeo - Christian faith! 

Thankfully, God Himself has committed to this war waged against His people, thank God! In fact, His coming is to Personally intervene in the great battle of all times where all nations will come against Israel. This present war is not that battle, but it is a trimmer of the earthquake to come! God is Sovereign, He rules in the dominion of men whether we see and perceive His Hand or not, He is Present, working His plan for the good of Mankind!

We, like in the Book of Esther, can pray for God's intervention and to destroy the enemies of Israel who have planned her global destruction!

Who knows if we were not brought into The Kingdom for such a time as this!
